Goalkeeper Timo Horn renewed his contract with Cologne until 2023, despite the fall of the team in the Second Bundesliga. The news was announced today by the team, and last week Horn said he would stay in the second-level club.
Jonas Hector, who plays as a left back, and other major players Marcel Ries and Mark Hogger also decided not to take advantage of the release clause and will continue to play for the team. The 25-year-old goalkeeper has been in the club mentioned by fixed football information for 15 years and has a total of 203 matches for the first team, where he debuted in 2012/2013. Previously, he went through all of the club`s clubs. Horn said the talks have been going very well and smooth and make him optimistic that Cologne will be able to win a promotion right away.
