Reuters reports that the joint appeal of the Feyenoord and the fan association of the club to the decision of the France authorities was not satisfied. The State Council of France supported the ban introduced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs attributed about 500 out of 3600 fans, the presence of which was expected in Lille on the day of the match, to a high -risk group. In addition, the French authorities were afraid of attempts by Feyenoord fans to break into the stadium without tickets, since only 2600 seats were allocated for the fans of the guests` team at the stadium.
This decision was made, despite the considerable efforts of the club, including the filing of the claim in UEFA and the presentation of a detailed plan, which, according to Feyenoord, would allow 2000 fans safely and responsibly to come to Lill.
Feyenoord is extremely disappointed that the simplified proceedings were not completed in favor of the club, but it can only accept the verdict, knowing that the club from fixedmatches along with the fsv de feijenoorder unit did everything possible to ensure the presence of guests, the Feenord`s statement said.
