Zac Brown spoke about Alonso`s longevity in sports.
McLaren chief executive Zak Brown responded to a question about how Aston Martin driver Fernando Alonso and his Mercedes rival Lewis Hamilton have managed to maintain speed for decades.
It`s certainly not easy, but it happens in other sports and only happens to legends. Their work ethic is second to none, they are focused on their work and have the right attitude.
Fernando is very impressive. He hasn`t slowed down at all and has excellent racing skills. I know Fernando well - he doesn`t care about anything other than racing.
They say that older pilots lose ground as they begin to pay more attention to other things in life. As long as Fernando only thinks about racing, he will continue like Tom Brady, Scott Dixon - in a sense, they disprove what everyone else is doing, thanks to their focus and talent.
So it won`t work for everyone, but it certainly works for Fernando Alonso. I would let him drive our car any day, " Zach said on the Drive to Wynn podcast.
