Zach Brown does not give up his words about scammers who violate the financial regulations of Formula 1.
McLaren`s chief executive called the excess of the spending ceiling `fraud` in an open letter to F-1 and the FIA, where he called for the punishment of violators. The federation confirmed the overspending by Red Bull in 2021, issued the team a seven million dollar fine and limited the development time for aerodynamics by ten percent.
I stand by what I said in my letter. I believe that violations of the rules - technical or financial - can be described in many different ways. Yes, it`s a strong word, but to me there`s no difference between going over the spending limit and having too little ground clearance - or whatever.
Violations of sports, financial or technical rules can be called in many ways, including in a simple way, Brown said.
Earlier in an interview with The Race, Zach said: "Even the violation of Red Bull - I don`t think it was intentional.
