The decision was caused by a significant increase in spending after reaching La Liga at the end of last season - Valladolid`s budget increased from 22 to 55 million euros per year.
In 2018, Ronaldo bought a 51% stake in the White-Purple for 30 million. A year later, he increased his stake in the club analyzed by questions for fixed football matches to 72%. The Brazilian also spent 7 million on the reconstruction of the stadium.
